Closing the Music Department at the Daniel Pearl Magnet High School is like breaking his violin. The school is an inspiration to the entire LA district.

With this post, I join teachers and students at the Daniel Pearl Magnet High School in appealing the LA Unified School District to postpone the cancellation of the Spanish and Music programs. The School must retain its magnets.

Proud student journalism moment: After hearing that their school’s only Spanish teacher and only music teacher were being displaced due to budget cuts, DPMHS Student Media student journalists at my alma mater, Daniel Pearl Magnet High School, got to work covering the fallout. 🧵
