Great morning session with our fabulous new registrars, playing Emergency Department Simulation and put them to the test with a Major Incident. They passed with flying colours but I swear they cheated on some results.... 😉 great fun all round! @tinygreg University Hospitals Sussex Emergency Department, RSCH, UHS Serious Games & Simulations

Great morning playing the pilot Paeds Emergency Department Simulation Royal Alexandra Children's Hospital 💙 ED Cons, Nurses, DDOs, Nursing Chiefs. HEE & Rockinghorse Children's Charity . Discussing new solutions, understanding the burden - the DDO is finalising a business case asap. Working together. 👍 @andyheeps.bsky.social George Findlay

Today, I went to Ashford & St Peter's to run Emergency Department Simulation for ED registrars and band 7s. Lots of discussion learning about escalation policies, thoughts for new policies to put in place.

After a horrendous m25 journey, I'm finally ASPiH to present "7 yrs of The Floor" - I'll be in the Hampton suite this afternoon! Emergency Department Simulation University Hospitals Sussex

This room was buzzing this afternoon! Getting PGCert Sim students to understand more about tabletop sim and have a go a running an ED. Soooo many topics came up to untangle. This can literally be used for anyone. Thanks for inviting me! BSMS Emergency Department, RSCH, UHS University Hospitals Sussex

Thomas Shanahan (Dr.) MRCEM Jim Crawfurd 💙 🇺🇦 #hello I'm Dr Kirsty 🏳️🌈 Simon Carley @codingbrown Caroline Leech Dr Linda Dykes has moved to Bluesky Alan Grayson Catherine Williams Iain Beardsell @ResusOne Rick Body Damian Roland Salwa Malik Practise in a "safe space". Tabletop sim great for this Emergency Department Simulation. Learn about escalation triggers, opel status, systems problems, work with the site manager& manager on call, understand the bigger picture in the hosp. Stay a bit hands off, be visible & NIC is your wingman.

Excellent talk Royal College of Emergency Medicine cpd conference on preparing for a Major Incident. Questions - how to do this with no resources/beds/staff etc. My answer? Tabletop sim it first with stakeholders. Get the basics down. Test it. Then enrol it in situ. Use Emergency Department Simulation I made it for EDs!

Today University Hospitals Sussex RSCH ED hosted nurses from Iceland and they got immersed into Emergency Department Simulation . Lots of valuable lessons for all. @seb_chong thank yoi for facilitating!

On way to Budapest for @EuropSocEM Frontiers of EM workshop - teaching about developing Emergency Department Simulation to train EM staff about major incidents and then hands on time! Looking forward to it!

Playing Emergency Department Simulation with EM doctors from all over Europe @eusem - what a wonderful way to understand different healthcare systems. One common problem = ED overcrowding. We must train to help us cope! University Hospitals Sussex
