Why do we ignore brain state during stimulation? Jessica M Ross, PhD developed sensory entrained TMS (seTMS) - sync TMS to musical beats to time stimulation when circuits are most receptive. Could be a low-cost, scalable way to boost outcomes. More to come.

New preprint from collaboration with SchafferNishimuraLab - 2p imaging of psilocybin's effects on neurovascular coupling 🔬 We found that psilocybin prolongs the neurovascular response, independent of neural activity. This affects how we should interpret fMRI BOLD studies of #psychedelics‼️

Another awesome push to caution interpretive power of fMRI while under acute intoxication of psychedelics! Big should out to Rick Zirkel Alex Kwan 關進晞 and SchafferNishimuraLab !!!

🎯 Algorithm Accuracy Award 🎯 Daniel Ryskamp Rijsketic, Austen Brooks Casey, and @theborislab (Stanford Medicine) created UNRAVEL, a Python library for whole-brain fluorescent label mapping: b-heifets.github.io/UNRAVEL/

Nonhallucinogenic psychoplastogens have antidepressant-like effects and promote cortical neuroplasticity through the same biochemical pathway as classic psychedelics, but don't cause immediate glutamate burst or IEG activation Olson Lab Institute for Psychedelics and Neurotherapeutics nature.com/articles/s4159…

Meet one of the winners of our MapMySections challenge! Daniel Ryskamp Rijsketic, Austen Brooks Casey, and @theborislab developed UNRAVEL, a tool that precisely maps fluorescent labels across the mouse brain. Join us on 8/27 for a webinar and live demo: alleninstitute.org/events/mapmyse…

We're hiring a lab manager to help run operations here at Princeton! We're a dynamic and friendly group of scientists, excited to collaborate and build our research vision at the new Omenn-Darling Bioengineering Institute & Neuro Institute! Apply here: hhmi.wd1.myworkdayjobs.com/en-US/External…

🌌 What happens in the brain when we dream? Excited to share our paper in Nature Communications that will hopefully lead us closer to answering that question: rdcu.be/eAwni Huge thanks to William Wong, Rubén Herzog Amunátegui Nao Tsuchiya and the other lead authors for the massive effort 🙏🙏
