Obituaries are records of people's lives. Especially for black folks. My grandma kept a tin of every single obituary of family and friends. It's allowed for us to trace family lineages because they often mention names of parents, spouses, children, cousins and more.

My 1st year I almost quit teaching mid-year. I was going to throw up the deuces & figure out a different path. Somehow I made it through & stayed.
