This beautifully coloured plan of the Port and Town of Hartlepool in 1841 was drawn up by J.T.W. Bell of Castle Eden. The area, now known as the Headland, was the site of the original Hartlepool and formed the natural harbour for the old fishing town for many centuries #MapMonday
