Great to find this post from Newcomen Primary who brought their Year 4s to find out all about the River Tees with us last Thursday. And we finally enjoyed some Autumnal sunshine!
We had two days of Year 3 visits from Newcomen Primary at the beginning of last week - the children had already been working in school on their Rocks topic and we were very impressed with their knowledge! You never know, there may be some future geologists among them too!
Great to find these photos - we had Bewley Primary Year 2 classes visit us across two days, finding out all about "River Tees - Source to Mouth" with a particular focus on the Transporter Bridge and the history of this intriguing local landmark!
We are very impressed to see this Transporter Bridge model built out of Lego, inspired by a "River Tees - Source to Mouth" visit with us last week! Well done to all our visitors from Eldon Grove Academy you've been working very hard and have earned your Christmas holidays!
Some photos from the morning session of our "River Tees - Source to Mouth" day with Acklam Whin Primary the children have done themselves proud with how well they listened and behaved all day!
And the sunshine continued for our group from Acklam Whin Primary we had a great time on the beach building models to represent the River Tees. Well done for all your hard work all day everyone!
Day two of our visitors from Acklam Whin Primary , so pleased we had lovely sunshine for both of our days of visits!
We enjoyed working with Layfield Primary School who booked in for a joint visit - half the group visited Hartlepool Power Station for a Site Tour, while the other half learnt all about Habitats & Adaptations with us, then after lunch the two groups swapped over!
Learning about different rocks and how to look after our beach in the sensory trays Teesmouth Field Centre
We had a great day with our group from Christ the King Catholic Primary yesterday - we even managed to avoid the worst of the rain! We spent the day learning all about the River Tees - from source to mouth, well done everyone for all your hard work!
