Just back from 4 days in the NY Moors, Duke of Burgundy, Green Hairstreak, Pearl Bordered Fritillary and Fly Orchids Butterfly Conservation Yorkshire Wild Orchids UK & Ireland
Fen Bog this morning. Golden-ringed Dragonfly, Keeled Skimmer?, Southern Hawker, Small Pearl bordered Fritillary, Common Blue, Small Heath, Large Skipper, Ringlet Butterfly Conservation Yorkshire York. Dragonfly Grp.
Bank Island and Wheldrake Ings this morning. Buzzards, Kestrel and Red Kites enjoying the grass cutting. Plenty of butterflies and dragonflies, including Essex Skipper? and Ruddy Darter. Also 1 Green Sandpiper and Whinchat York Birding LDV NNR Butterfly Conservation Yorkshire York. Dragonfly Grp.

Buddleia bush along cycle track at Naburn Wood still proving attractive this morning - Peacock, Small Tortoiseshell, Red Admiral, Comma, Meadow Brown, Gatekeeper, Brimstone, Large White and Silver-washed Fritillary Butterfly Conservation Yorkshire
A trip to Nosterfield Nature Reserve this morning to look for Small Copper and Brown Argus butterflies, did I succeed?..... also several Migrant Hawker and a Black-tailed Skimmer eating a damselfly Butterfly Conservation Yorkshire York. Dragonfly Grp.
This am RSPB Blacktoft Sands and the Humber 2 Curlew Sandpiper, c10 Greenshank, also Black-tailed Godwit, Redshank, Spotted Redshank, Green Sandpiper, Ruff, Snipe, Avocet, Lapwing and this beautiful Lime Hawk-moth caterpillar, which has changed colour to pupate British Moths Butterfly Conservation 🦋
