Tell your people you love them. Life is too unpredictable and you never know when it will be the last time you see them or get to say it.

Attended a funeral of a scientist, specifically a geneticist, but mostly a teacher, who was highly respected by so many. In my short time knowing him, I was in awe of how amazing he was & often told him. I’ll never be the teacher he was. I hope he knew how loved he was.

At a high school basketball game in Michigan, both teams and the entire audience went completely silent — all to help a blind player make a shot. Life is a team game. 👍

Generosity is an anti-depressant. Depressed people were randomly assigned to give less than a penny a day to charity. Over the next 2 months, moods improved and depression declined. The more they gave, the better they felt. Even small acts of kindness elevate mental health.

Don’t forget to tell your people you love them. You may not know exactly what they are going through or what is troubling them in that exact moment, but that show of love and kindness from you could be all they need to turn around their day, keep fighting and not give up.

Huge result last night at the Sunflower League Track Meet. The 4x100 team of Rush, Walker, Parker and Watson not only win the meet and set a school record… They also ran the fastest 4x1 time ever in Kansas history 41.35!

I listen to a lot of podcasts. Have my favorites. The 1 thing that turns me off is when the host talks 90% of the time, and the guest says very little. When you have a guest it’s not your therapy session. Get the question out then listen or have a genuine dialogue. That is all.
