Doing some CPD next week on starting lessons with retrieval. I feel that there’s many ways to do retrieval well (& not just at the start of lessons): Tell me below which methods you use at the beginning of lessons that are the most successful, pls ⬇️

I was doing so well with my reading this year. There’s nothing I haven’t enjoyed. Then I got to this.

A colleague said I was an inspiration today because I go & do things on my own. Spa days, solo cinema trips, solo lunches. Im happily married & have mates but we don’t all have the same interests & I’d rather do things by myself than make someone do something they won’t enjoy.

Normalise doing stuff by yourself. I like my own company, it’s not weird to take yourself for lunch or a day out. I’m going on a little solo London trip tomorrow to see a musical & visit the V&A and I can’t wait 🤩

Teachers are their own worst critics sometimes. We’ve been back at school 5 days, the kids have been back for 3. If you’ve got new classes, it’s normal that you don’t know them yet. It’s normal for it to take ages to plan lessons. We all just need to chill out a bit 😂

Won’t someone please think of all the obnoxious banners attached to school railings? They’ll really suffer in this.

I got duped into a blood pressure check at the pharmacy because I’m a people pleaser and then sat there for 10 minutes while the guy told me it was high and I need to change my lifestyle. I went in for my anxiety meds & came out feeling like I’ve made terrible life choices 😂
