And that's a wrap for our latest dig. We now think our long wall was potentially out of the use at the time of the 1788 map and not shown on it. The walls of the "barns" that are shown may survive only as spreads of rubble but we have some interesting features. #scotlanddigs2024

Today we’re extracting collagen from tiny bone samples from Tarradale, ahead of isotope analysis and ZooMS. These analyses will help us identify the species fragmentary remains, and tell us about the Scottish Mesolithic food web TarradaleThroughTime Astrid J Nyland Sonic Horizons
