He isn’t talking about a single player but his experiences in the NFL. We are one game into preseason to think he is isolating on a single player is a bit too hasty.

The motion doesn’t change the safety assignments, just alignments. This is cover 1 from the get go. The browns were sending 5 and disguising it with a 2 high but the motion broke them out of disguise. This is a good example of why motions are so common these days. It’s to help

In my opinion, this was more of an indictment on Idzik than anyone else. No rhythm creation, no creation of space, and no flow. Just long shots and inside runs. Now after saying that, it’s preseason. See you week 1 boys!

Toklomati, what a player!! Silky on the ball, but can also smash in headers just like that. We have got ourselves another star striker ⭐️

Whatever was just said to Zaha by a fan, it les to him taking off his jersey and heading straight for the tunnel at the whistle. #cltfc #forthecrown

Handful of things on this play: - I am puzzled why we are going for a big play before our offense is in sync and the Texans are not falling for any playaction. - XL is running the clear out but I really like that option for BY9 here. New role incoming. - (dont hate me) TM4

I am bummed that JT0 didn't come down with the ball here, but there is so much to like here pre-snap. - BY9 using motion to identify the coverage alignment - BY9 identifying the mike and adjust his protection call - Telling RD5 who to put a body on Plays are won from pre-snap

Another puzzling playcall from Idzik from my perspective. It is preseason, and most teams are not going to show off their exotic blitz packages. We are playing the Texans who have one of the best front 4 in the league, and don't need to blitz, but we call a playaction max

Goodness. Our Tackles get absolutely rocked on this play. The Texans really do have some serious firepower at EDGE. If we were able to protect BY9 here, we are likely talking about an XL TD today. Pretty well drawn up double post with the two underneaths routes pulling in the

The one thing this account is missing is that the route JT0 is running here pulls the safety down and frees up XL17 big over the top but our tackles just couldn't hold up. If we aren't taking advantage of our design concepts and just resorting to what this post is suggesting,

Hmm zone conflicts? This was cover 1 robber aka man coverage. The safety (Cole Bishop) was covering the slot (Jacheus) who was the target on this play. The middle high Safety was Demar Hamlin- who also took the worst possible angle to make a tackle here- was MoF closed. I

There are two types of people drooling over these plays being run in the preseason. 1. Chicago Bears Fans - congrats! #BearDown 2. Bears opposing Defensive Coordinators - free game tape Bears are going to be a fun watch. Likely a Dolphins 2023 type of year.
