🚂 The railway was a huge part of keeping Britain going through WWII, but it also had its own dark days ... 📷 A bomb hit London St Pancras station in 1941. National Railway Museum photo colourised by Royston Leonard: 👉 networkrail.co.uk/stories/film-t… #WW2 #WWII #Remembrance

Thirty years of Eurostar uniforms - Justin on eurostar sporting his original 90’s Balmain tie, yours truly trying out our new uniform coming out next year. A lot changes, but the Eurostar spirit is as strong now as it was then.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning We will remember them.

Another day off the trains for a rules refresh, we’ve got lots of training to cover due to several changes to our various networks, keeping up to date with it all is a constant headache for all involved!

A very happy birthday to us Eurostar We’re very proud of what we’ve achieved over the last thirty years, creating a “Eurostar generation” of which I am gladly a member. Let’s see what the next thirty years brings, I intend on coming along for the ride.

Just letting my blood pressure settle back down…the control room just rang me with some news that was going to increase my workload today significantly. Luckily they confirmed the train number, and they’d called the wrong TM! All smooth sailing on the good ship #ES9036.

Day two of three on the same shift and today to spice things up a bit we’ve gone for nice purple highlights in the luggage racks and the bar buffet. #ES9036 is spot on time so far, but a slight delay is expected due to a broken down train on the LGV, c.5-10mins.

Great to be at the launch of Richard Brown’s book “Changing Times, Changing Trains” this evening. Looking forward to reading his account of Richard’s time leading InterCity, Midland Mainline, Eurostar and more - and his insights for the future GB railway! The book is available

There’s two main features of working under a large glass roof, it’s far too hot in summer, and far too cold in winter! Just giving my colleagues taking the 1801 to Paris a hand getting it prepared and boarded ❄️❄️
