The proportional representation system is not suitable for the election of public representatives. It doesn't truly represent public choice. In the parliamentary electoral system, First-past-the- post (FPTP) is the preferable system.

Tanka Khanal If the upcoming government truly cares about public choice, they should dissolve this "proportional representation system."

After almost sixty-six years, a historic Parliament with the same structure as the first elected Parliament will be formed in Nepal. Hopefully this Parliament will complete its full term and will not suffer the same fate as the first elected Parliament. AMEEN !!

Hassle-free delivery of governmental services and regular availability of basic services like electricity, water, garbage disposal, sewerage and communication networks are what people expect immediately. Employment generation and quality improvement could be medium-term goals.

Road traffic in Kathmandu Valley is increasing disproportionately to the size and width of the roads. Unregulated traffic growth will stagnate the city over time. Traffic congestion is one of the symptoms of a 'dying city'. Who cares ??

The #sorrow of Kathmandu... Let us hope that the incoming government will seriously focus on improving traffic system, removing hanging wires, sewerage management and pollution control.

The near extinction of the old political powers of the country is not only the choice of the people but also the need of the hour. The country needs to move forward with a new vision and only visionary political forces can take the country to a new heights. CHANGE !!
