We are calling on the government to address critical gaps in the reception and support of refugee claimants arriving at our borders by establishing a national system that builds on the success of the one that serves resettled refugees.

Using survey data representative of all live births in 2020 from 6 states and NYC, we found that more than 1 in 8 people (13%) experienced mistreatment by care providers during childbirth. JAMA Network Open
