USCG Sector Long Island Sound assisted at an overturned boat in the Narrows Bay ( Mastic Beach) this evening. 2 people and the small boat were taken back to dock by the USCG_Tri_State . local Police , Fire and EMS assets were also activated . #rescue #USCG #emergencyphotos

Last night despite the efforts of USCG_Tri_State members who launched a response boat to Smith Point Park and Suffolk County Police Department along with multiple FD & EMS agencies a distressed swimmer who was pulled from the water and put on a U.S. Coast Guard boat perished.
