This prerelease screenshot of Control is found in a Swedish catalog of N64 games. It shows a number of differences from the final game including hanging lights, lack of hand on the PP7, a different door, and oil drums. Ignore the brown blob at bottom that's Brosnan's head. [1/7]

The site's Prerelease section has been updated with a gallery of 130+ screenshots! These shots come from a site called MundoRare which has been offline for many years. There's much we don't know like who took the shots, when, or why. Glad they did though! goldeneyedepot.com/prerelease#mun…

In Dam the guard towards on the dam are numbered 2, 3, and 4. In Facility the platforms in the quad room are numbered 2, 3, and 4. Where is 1? Did the GoldenEye developers just hate the number 1? We need answers.

Caverns originally used a Bunker door as a placeholder before the cool doors with the 12 pivoting panels were made. According to developer Duncan Botwood it was David Doak who got them working. 🚪

You probably know that if you shoot Mishkin or his guards at the end of Statue they will execute Natalya. They have no objection to you slapping them a bit though.

Haven't seen a map with the fictional GoldenEye & Perfect Dark locations marked on a world map with some cool details and their real life equivalents, so I decided to make one based off a little research (and a lot of speculation) I did the past week acecorner.ca/map.html

GoldenEye splitscreen co-op is some of the best fun you can get to this day. It's just crazy. Can't wait until GoldenEye X features all campaign levels!

Leftover code in Action Block 0402 of the credits stage, Cuba, suggests that the Bond actor in the credits sequence would have changed according to which Bond actor the player chose in the folder menu. Connery, Moore, and Dalton had to be dropped over legal concerns.

EGM Issue 105 of April 1998 told players they could unlock All Bonds in multiplayer by beating Aztec in under 9 mins on 007 Mode with: 200% Enemy health 100% Enemy damage, accuracy, and reaction speed Of course this was an April Fools' joke, but many players tried anyway!

Perhaps few people noticed that Xenia Onatopp is, actually, the last of the Bond femme fatales (in the vein of Fiona Volpe). There are shades of grey in Elektra King and Miranda Frost. They are more likely to have *gone* bad, rather than *being* bad.
