Female runner who identifies as non-binary runs in the women's 1500m final at Paris Olympics. Absolutely no issue. Because the female category was designed to include all females, regardless of gender identity, by excluding male advantage. This is inclusion.

If females with trans or NB identities are happy to remain in female sport why can't males with transgender or NB identities remain in male sport? The asymmetry reveals the underlying power relations between the sexes. Males are still primary. Females are still the second sex.

“Mary Beard is an old fossil who should either be in a home or a museum” “a clueless vile ghoul” etc … disagreement doesn’t have to be conducted like this folks, it really doesn’t!

FYI. In the women’s boxing division only Lin Yu Ting (57kg) and Imane Khelif (66 kg) won every single match 5-0 on their way to gold. Their respective records were 5-0, 5-0, 5-0, 5-0. The women who won the other weight divisions in comparison:

Can Iranian women “identify” out of being female and show their hair? Can child brides “identify as nonbinary” to not be r&ped? Can girls “identify as transmasc” to escape FGM or breast ironing? Everyone knows who the women are when it’s about punishing them. Funny that.

‘Yes, bystanders can save women from sexual assault. But I know first-hand that’s not always enough’ Shocking and infuriating to read the experiences of the author of this piece, who having been sexually assaulted on a Thameslink train whilst pregnant, reported with a witness

There is no Woman of the Day post today but I thought you might like to know that OTD in 1612, the Samlesbury witches from Lancashire were tried at Lancaster Castle in one of the most famous witch trials in our history. The three women - Jane Southworth, Jennet Bierley, and Ellen

Rachael Wong Wow, just wow. “Sex is changeable” — 100% it is not. One may preset themselves in a societally different way, one’s own way, but it doesn’t change the immutable fact of one’s sex. Hopefully a higher court overturns this.

Despite global shock, few countries—even after investing billions in women's rights—have condemned the Taliban's decrees. This silence is a moral failure, endangering all women worldwide. When women's rights are stripped away in silence, it threatens every woman's freedom.
