Good news: LADOT just confirmed that the city will follow HLA requirements for Reseda Blvd. This week's resurfacing will add about 450 feet of new bike lanes approved in 2015 and now required under Measure HLA

He's right + if this driver had been sober, the same folks dunking on his tweet would be blaming the Gaudreaus for their own deaths because they were biking after dark on a rural road with no streetlights. Stop focusing exclusively on individuals; start focusing on systems.

I’m a driver. I drive in bus only lanes every chance I get, I stop in virtually every bus zone I see, and I am absolutely ecstatic whenever I hear a car gets ticketed for it. Because I drive the bus. Wish you had interviewed a transit operator, we could explain why this is just.

A light, quick, cheap solution so good, it should be copied the world over: The fietsvlonder is a “bike platform” that temporarily swaps one car parking space for 10 bicycles. If deemed a success—as here in Eindhoven—the curb is adjusted and structure moved to the next location.

Love to see the San Diego Trolley doing so well—the extension to UCSD has pushed it to become the busiest light-rail-only network in the US & the 9th-busiest rail overall. Ridership is up nearly 20% year-on-year!

That would be a *gas-fired* power plant, not a solar or wind farm, that caused rolling blackouts for thousands of Pasadena homes during a Southern California heat wave. Equipment failure at the Glenarm gas plant spurred by climate change-fueled heat. pasadenanow.com/main/heat-trig…

Reality: US cities are full of drivers going 15mph over the speed limit while playing with phones in 5000lb vehicles with illegal tinted glass. Police: Let's ticket cyclists going 1mph over a little known speed limit on a mixed use trail.
