Phoenix Police have shut down traffic along Bethany Home Road between 7th Avenue to 15th Avenue for a serious collision. Traffic will be restricted for an extended time.

Detectives are investigating a serious injury collision where a 2001 Silver Mitsubishi Montero was seen hitting and seriously injuring an 11-year-old girl who was crossing the street in a marked school zone near 19th St and Roeser Rd.

An upcoming paving project on 31st Ave. between Bethany Home Rd. and Glendale Ave. provides an opportunity to widen existing bike lanes. The proposed change could impact existing on-street parking.
