Upper grade Stough Magnet Elementary School problem solving how to get to the next island, during game “Survivor.” Lower grades working hard together as they play PE version of “Hungry Hippos.” More cooperative games next week.
These Stough Magnet Elementary School got a surprise visit during their DrumFit lesson. It was great fun when Carolina Mudcats mascot, Muddy, decided to join in.
I would like to give a big thank you to all the Stough Magnet Elementary School parents and students who donated to Jump Rope for Heart. We raised a staggering $1747 for American Heart Association which will go toward medical research and heart health education. Go Stough!!

These 2nd grade Stough Magnet Elementary School are working hard during their Friday elective, “CooPErative Learning.” This Team Memory game requires them to work together to discover the location of their bean bags.
These 1st grade Stough Magnet Elementary School are integrating Math in PE. Partners meet up using assigned locomotor skill and add/subtract their cards.
During their CooPErative Learning Elective these 2nd grade Stough Magnet Elementary School work together to crack the secret code of “The Maze.” The 10 Step Maze proved difficult, but they eventually cracked it. So proud of their teamwork. 👏
When the gym is being used for picture day, and it is 100 degrees outside, what do you do for PE? Get active Fortnite Dancing in the classroom of course. Well, that’s what these Stough Magnet Elementary School did.
This week in PE we are discovering Disability Awareness Month. Which made for a great integration with one of this months P2 character traits, Perspective. These Stough Magnet Elementary School are working together to help their blindfolded, and/or non verbal player, accomplish a task.
Day One of the #NCAAHPERDSM Convention provided so many fun fitness activities and ideas to bring back to Stough Magnet Elementary School. Looking forward to Day Two tomorrow.
Day One of “Take Your Parent to PE Week” was so much fun. It was so awesome to see these Stough Magnet Elementary School parents working just as hard as the students. Activities have included throwing & catching skills, and fitness.
Here are few memories for some of our 4th & 5th grade Stough Magnet Elementary School and their parents. We had a great time playing Team Handball this week.
During “Take Your Parent to PE Week,” 2nd & 3rd grade Stough Magnet Elementary School worked on cardio by playing the game Fitness Tic Tac Toe. These parents certainly showed they can keep up with the students.
Our K-1 Stough Magnet Elementary School reviewed the key elements of throwing & catching during “Take Your Parent to PE Week,” by playing “Battleship.” All the parents who attended this week were great sports, and I believe they have given their child a wonderful moment to look back on. Thx.

A great big thank you to Ms. Lori from the American Heart Association Association. Stough Magnet Elementary School learned a lot about ways to live a healthy lifestyle and how to be kind to others. AHA donation envelopes went home yesterday and are due back by March 6. Thank you!
