Earlier, as we set up for one of our monthly worship ‘Burn Nights’ St Luke’s Church Blackburn I mused over what I’m discovering about being part of an estate church plant that puts young people at it’s heart.

Mostly it’s that when you switch the lights on, all ages walk in from the dark.

Today St Luke’s Church Blackburn we hosted 65 inspirational new friends from the recovery community in Blackburn. It was an utter privilege to meet them and to chat together about how we can play our part in extending hope to the people on our estate. roses BwD Police

After our morning gathering we grabbed some lunch in our new hall. So exciting to finally be taking over these spaces to bring more of Gods light, hope, peace & joy to the people of Galligreaves & Bank Top. Love being a family on a mission!

Tonight we held silence with 30 teenagers on our estate. We talked about how over the next couple of weeks we’ll see & hear a lot about death & loss. We thought about the people we’ve lost or have died. As we head into national mourning, take care of yourself & others. #RIPQueen
