Our Vice Dean @Shemil Mathew lead us in a powerful Anglican Communion Eucharist from CSI on Sunday. Together we spent time praying for the persecuted church around the world.

It’s Monday and we’re almost halfway through our Ordinand Residential ‘week’. It has been a rich few days exploring Worship and Spirituality, Theology and Discrimination, and Church Planting.

I always love teaching with Ruth Harley, and today it was a joy to be invited by Shemil to teach a couple of sessions for Emmanuel Theological College: on Class & Capitalism, and #LLF , Sex & Marriage. Such a great bunch of students and fabulous conversations. 🌈

What a joy to celebrate intercultural Eucharist Emmanuel Theological College we read the gospel sung and prayed in 7 languages. Instead of a sermon we prayed for our persecuted siblings around the world.

Alleluia! Christ is Risen!

It was a pleasure for Emmanuel to partner in the 2nd ANIC Intercultural Mission conference Diocese of Leicester Celebrating and resourcing intercultural worshipping communities is one of our passions! Our Vice Dean @revshemil presented a paper, and staff and trustees also attended.

We are thankful for all that God has been doing among us, and for our half term break!

Brilliant, challenging and inviting college lecture this morning by Anna Leyden on her PhD ‘a theologically informed posture towards good disagreement in the church’ - there’s nothing easy about it, but in an increasingly fragmented world it’s too important to give up.

We are delighted The Rt Revd Sam Corley, Bishop of Stockport, will be speaking on 'Looking for the (Ministerial) Qualities” at our upcoming Supervisor Workshop on the 22nd February. +Sam is helping to resource and equip our placement supervisors in the vital work they do.

We started today with the College Lecture from The Revd Haydon Spenceley, followed by the College Eucharist for the Feast of the Epiphany with The Rt Revd Stephen Race, Bishop of Beverley.
