Universal made the right choice pivoting away from the shared universe model and instead doing standalone new takes on the Universal Monsters. Out of the past five films, the only one I didn’t like was The Last Voyage of the Demeter.

For those who want to be aware of newer things: Back in Action is on Netflix, and One of Them Days, Alarum, Wish You Were Here, and Both Eyes Open are in theaters.

I haven’t seen either of The Hobbit trilogy movies since their original releases, and my memory of them is they felt like if the Attack of the Clones droid factory sequence kept happening too frequently. #Tolkien

I miss when people would read comics and not get hung up on the minutiae of what’s canon and what isn’t after a soft reboot and just accept that some of it happened and some of it didn’t.

Even if you remove The Clone Wars from the equation, I don’t think one can say it’s a plothole in Revenge of the Sith that people across the galaxy accept the rise of the Empire.

If you call yourself a fan of sci-fi, fantasy, and superhero fiction, and yet you don’t see the warning signs that you might be ushering in fascism, then you’re not very smart. You might even be stupid.
