As an ER doc and health care advocate I couldn’t care less about Senator Katie Boyd Britt's cringe performance in this video that many are roasting. It is the substance of the bill she is pushing that makes me truly cringe. Here’s why: 🧵1/7

If you want a good example of how power works in Britain, just consider how many broadsheet front pages are devoted to the relatively trifling problems of private schools by comparison to the day-to-day and long term problems faced by the state sector (where the vast majority of…

A most artfully crafted question to deliver a strikingly different result from asking whether to implement (38%) or scrap (40%) the Rwanda policy straight.

Rwanda was the **32nd word** in this question!

Some online are claiming a video shows actors preparing to fake being dead and injured in Rafah, Gaza.

But it is actually a behind-the-scenes clip from a Palestinian drama series that came out in March.

tessa rodgers To be clear, I don't agree with the decision to admit Natalie Elphicke. Labour is a broad church, but there should be limits. I am deeply concerned by Natalie’s past comments and I’m unconvinced that her politics have changed sufficiently for her to represent our party.

This is gibberish. At least those whose applications were processed abroad would not have to use small boats. Supposedly their welfare is the point of the govt plan, but it seems not. Also the word 'amnesty' is nonsense: the Refugee Convention also applies to illegal entrants.

Republican Senator Mike Moon wants to be able to marry 12yo girls. Anyone want to know how he proposes that a 12yo would consent to marriage with a 65yo man? He pressures her parents to consent to the marriage; financially, legally, or otherwise.

This front page splash is based on a *0.1%* decline in numbers at private schools.

When was the last splash on state school funding, e.g., still being below 2010 levels?

Supporting more young people to get a Level 3 qualification should be an urgent national priority.

De-funding BTECs at this stage risks creating a large step backwards.

This issue should be getting a *lot* more attention than it is.

Sunak is pushing Rwanda despite saying before he became PM it wouldn't work.

He claims PIP disability benefits are for people not working when he knows that's not true.

He claims to care about sound money while leaving fantasy spending figures for the next government.
