Pleased to see this paper published today in DMM Journal. We used a recently developed mouse model to study the physiological and molecular adaptations of placentae supporting the development of a genetically determined small fetus. journals.biologists.com/dmm/article/17…

Really important piece by Janice Turner about the men involved with LGBT Youth Scotland who've been convicted of horrific child sexual exploitation while funders and authorities failed to ask the right questions. thetimes.com/article/2f4a06…

I would encourage all my academic colleagues to watch Dr Gadow’s interview and, if they can, support her crowdfunding appeal. Do not be duped into thinking that this is some sort of right/left phoney culture war issue. This is losing your academic job for questioning ideology.

This is good to see. “Joined up government”, in this case between health and education. is not that common so to see Labour working this way gives some grounds for optimism Perhaps they might now turn to issues key to safeguarding vulnerable women Rosie Duffield MP

It is indeed shocking. As a physician -scientist I am ashamed of the cowardice being exhibited by so many medical and scientific bodies. Willing to ignore science and put women at risk so they can bask in the warm glow of appearing what they think looks progressive.
