Splatt area early morning an Otter on the Canal plus nice views of 2 Cuckoos around the south reedbed. Still 6+ Redshank, 4 Lapwomgs on the flashes. Also a female Sparrowhawk, a female Manderin over and a pair of Tufted Ducks. #GlosBirds

Very quiet at Splatt Bridge this morning. Only highlights was a fab view of a Cuckoo in flight low over the Horse paddock next to the church, plus 40+ Shelducks including 12 on the canal!. Also a Mistle Thrush/Song Thrush comparison vid from the sailing lake field. #GlosBirds

#GlosBirds Dudbridge this afternoon, a Hobby harrasing a Buzzard over my work at 2pm, also a pair of Jays in Sainsbury's car park and 8 Swifts overhead.

#GlosBirds Quedgeley today a Hobby slowly passed low over my garden this evening with 10+ Swallows in pursuit. Also this morning the first Goldfinch fledglings of the year. Also late afternoon today along the Ebley bypass 50+ Swifts hawking over the riverside trees.

#GlosBirds Family walk around Frampton Court lake this afternoon, highlights included a male and female Cuckoo heard, 2 Common Terns, 40+ Swifts and the Oystercatcher pair with 1 chick.

Dudbridge early evening a suspicious acting Jay was carefully searching the trees and bushes near my workplace upsetting the resident Backbirds and Robins that are nesting in the area. Interesting behaviour to witness. #GlosBirds

#GlosBirds Dudbridge mid afternoon, a Red Kite over, plus 8 low Swifts circuiting around the same time, a Red Kite low over a field with 40+Gulls just off the M5 jct 12 at 17:15. Also at least 1 pair of Swifts are back in with the House Martin colony near Millers Dyke Quedgeley.

#GlosBirds My garden has been a noisy place this afternoon with the local Starlings bringing there recently fledged young. Also seen during a family walk up to the Pilot Inn the Sellers Bridge resident Mute Swan pair has 5 Cygnets.

#GlosBirds It was nice to see display flights from some Redshanks on Splatt flashes this morning, at least 4 was present with 2 displaing.something I have never seen before.

#GlosBirds Fairly quiet at Splatt this morning, Birds included a Common Tern flew towards the river, a Cuckoo calling, 4 Redshanks including 2 displaying, 2 Lapwings, 1 Oystercatcher, 3 Reed Buntings 2m 1f, also 8 Mute Swans dropped on to the canal upsetting the resident family.

#GlosBirds Splatt early morning, an unusually quiet Cuckoo in the trees next to the towpath. On the flashes 2 Redshanks, 2 Lapwings, 3 Little Egrets, 3 Grey Herons 4 Gadwall and 5 Shelducks. On the canal the Mute Swan family 2 adults with 6 cygnets.

#GlosBirds It was encouraging to see some Swifts while out in the garden this afternoon. I had only 2 previous sightings before so far this spring, 3 zipped over low and a little later a group of 6 circled higher up.

#GlosBirds Slimbridge Sightings Unfortunately no Sanderlings with the Dunlin on the Tack Piece this morning but had a fairly decent view of the singing and displaying White Spotted Bluethroat at Mid-Point plus a breif reel from a Grasshopper Warbler
