Iโ€™ll tell you what isnโ€™t indicative of journalistic integrity: taking a position on an issue purely based on opposing your perceived opponentโ€™s position. What matters is whether the BBC did something wrong not whether Boris Johnson thinks they did or didnโ€™t. So did they?

I see no evidence of a political campaign to damage the BBC. Sounds like a canard to distract attention. I see the BBC trying to ignore damaging internal criticism of itself. Yet again it fails its public service remit. The BBC has lost its way. It has done so for some time.

Yup. There was a cynical and commercial interest in your abolition. There is now a principled and urgent need for it. You took public money, betrayed public trust and simply say โ€˜mistakes were madeโ€™.

Calling for the abolition of the licence fee is not the same as wanting the 'end' of the BBC. The point is not that the broadcaster shouldn't survive but that we shouldn't be forced to pay for it. Let the BBC raise its own funds, then it can pursue whatever news agenda it likes.

The end of the licence fee system would not be the end of the BBC. Still, this is an unintentionally revealing post. If the BBC were truly impartial, no faction would benefit from its end. Once again, we see that the Corporationโ€™s strongest cheerleaders are Leftist MPs.

So the point of the BBC in your view is to stop Farage/Reform. Can you explain why the 30%+ currently telling pollsters they plan to vote Farage/Reform should, by your logic, continue to pay their licence fees? How can the BBC claim to be impartial and yet be tasked by people
