1 year and 51 weeks later my masters dissertation that’s not a dissertation is submitted and I’m completely ecstatic. Now… somewhere back in April 2022 there’s a life for me to pick up … here’s finding out what a life and weekend is again 😂

If you want the evidence of how unsuccessful are, it’s in the comms and planning for Measles v Covid. CCG comms and planning was far superior

A shocking new report reveals that 10 GP practices in Cumbria and Lancashire are at risk of immediate closure, with a further 111 struggling financially due to soaring costs.

I've written to the Health Secretary urging her to support our vital GP surgeries before it's too late.

Irfan Can someone tell the uniformed hospital colleagues that GPs are doing 2million MORE appts a month compared to 2019
2million is the TOTAL number of A&E attendances a month & it hasn’t risen
Oh and there are less GPs compared to an increase in hospital staff
Stop believing the lie

‘People are trying to get into their GPs & unable to see their GPs, so increase in pressure in A&E is getting greater’

Helen Sharp, Deputy Sister, Colchester Hospital

➡️ Well if hospitals weren’t rejecting so many GP referrals & didn’t have very very long waiting lists - may…

Folks it appears that time has run out! 1.9% is all that the government thinks we are worth. If you listen carefully you can hear the death knell for general practice. I’ll just leave my video here as time to save GP is now up. 👇🏽

2%! NHS England you should be ashamed. You are exacerbating the crisis in General Practice & failing everyone in England. 90% of the work of the NHS happens in General Practice and you are enforcing a real terms loss. Will force redundancies. Absolutely shameful.

They'll continue to be open during the junior doctor strike, but they might not be if a new contract with a 1.9% uplift is imposed, since it will just become unaffordable to run a GP Partnership.

If you think that’s bad imagine when
GPs are forced to strike … they see that many patients every single day… 1.9% for 90% of NHS activity. Make it make sense

And again for those at the back. If I were to want to work in gp full time seeing patients I’d have to do it for free as there is no money!

I’ve created this video to help people understand the financial distress GP practices are under. Please share widely to create awareness and start conversations about how we save General Practice.

“I’ll expect you to feed me, bathe me, brush my hair, hold my hand, recognise me when I have ceased to recognise myself and be the last human touch I may feel before I die.

But I do not think, at the same time, that you deserve a family life.”

If you recognise this is a priority why are you compounding the crisis in General Practice by increasing the value of the core contract by 1.9% … you know you are forcing practices to close because this increase in real terms is obviously a funding cut.
