Stop with this ongoing and absolute nonsense.

The abortion law does not treat people with Down syndrome differently. They too can have a post 24 week termination if it meets the criteria (I hope none of them have to ever make that decision btw!)

My other son is at university but has had no support as, even tho we helped him fill in all the relevant forms I am not told it is 'student led' which means someone who struggles with communication and executive function is meant to organise their own support for these things

Equality for disabled people has to mean social justice for every disabled child and adult, not just unborn babies with Down syndrome. It also means using critical thinking skills and protecting women's hard-won reproductive rights.

Manni Coe Liam Fox MP National Down Syndrome Policy Group We can love our children and siblings to the end of the earth, I do. That doesn’t give us the right to remove women’s choice. Love does not preclude choice.

Manni Coe Liam Fox MP National Down Syndrome Policy Group He’s very passionate about removing women’s reproductive rights and reducing their access to safe and legal abortions. Not a fan of a man telling women what they can/can’t do!

GetOnDowns Elliot Colburn MP Paul Scully MP Liam Fox MP These are plans to restrict women's rights to choose what happens with their own body - terminations post 24 weeks are few and due to complex reasons. This is a stalking horse anti-abortion amendment backed by anti-abortionists.

Fact check: people who have Down syndrome have the same rights under the law as people who do not have Down syndrome. They do not need abortion reform to secure these already existing legal and human rights (nor did they need their own Act either though)

Sharon Louise Smith Manni Coe Liam Fox MP National Down Syndrome Policy Group Kieron Smith Little Toller 🇺🇦🇵🇸 Down's Syndrome Association It’s easy to get carried away, I think, because we all want to say to the world, ‘look! A life with Down’s syndrome is a life worth living’ - I do think, however, that limiting women’s reproductive choices is not the way to make that point :(

Anyone who hates exercise tried a shot of vodka just before starting? I used to do that to be able to face Couch to 5K and to get going through the first couple of weeks. Wondering if I should give it a go on the basis it is no different than clubbing which kept me thin in my 20s

StarlightMcKenzie Vic Goddard A good question/thinking focus for department leaders in September would be:

What can we do this year, to render Easter revision sessions pointless?

Or something along those lines.

Is it hay-fever or the common cold? Or Covid? Or measles? They all present with similar initial symptoms. But HEPA filtration of the air prevents and reduces ALL of them.

John Harris Fact: SEND provision requests have increased over last 10 years.

Also fact: LA councillors have sat in meetings & neglected longer term solutions for 10 years.

No political will to act but plenty to shift blame onto families.

Richard Bennett ... and an inquiry into the harm caused of delay and incorrect advice from LAs would likely take decades, because the number of affected families would be in the hundreds of thousands.
