Year 5 had lots of fun designing and making a bag out of paper. It had to have handles and be able to carry a 1kg weight all the way across the classroom but the trickiest bit was sticking to a strict budget.
Reception worked together beautifully today to male some wonderful butterfly wings. We then turned ourselves into butterflies in the beautiful sunshine. What a lovely day!
Year 1 have turned our classroom into our very own restaurant. We used commas between adjectives to create our own menus. The best bit was was role playing. Then we used our excellent adding to work out the cost.
The Y3&4 children held a wonderful First Holy Communion celebration today with Br Stephen. They said wonderful prayers and sang beautifully in front of parents. They looked amazing in their beautiful dresses and suits!
After Mrs Hilson and Mrs Shirley loved Year 1’s disgusting sandwich they considered adding it to the school Menu, but Year 1 managed to persuade them not to with some fantastic persuasive writing. The children even had some Menu suggestions for them.
After doing such a good job of looking after our caterpillars and watching them as they changed into butterflies, the reception children released them. It was magical as we watched them flutter away.
