At the end of the 11am Mass today there was an opportunity, on her Feast Day, to venerate the relic of S. Maria Goretti. This relic was placed on the altar at Fr Philip’s 1st Mass, 16 years ago today.

As preparations for S. Silas Day continue the statue of S. Silas has been moved. Join us! Friday 11th July 7.30pm Solemn First Vespers with music including Pergolesi’s Magnificat Saturday 12th July 3pm Solemn Mass and music including Mozart’s ‘Organ Solo’ Mass.

Whilst we had a glimpse of Green last Sunday this will be banished this weekend as we keep our Patronal Festival! Friday 11th July 5pm Vigil Mass of S. Silas 7.30pm Solemn 1st Vespers, Procession of the Relic and Benediction Saturday 12th July 3pm Solemn Mass 6pm Benediction

S. Silas weekend comes to a close we give thanks for our wonderful parish and community. In the coming days we will share photos and videos from our celebrations. During the octave we will welcome all of the classes from the parish school to church for Mass in honour of S. Silas

Our S. Silas celebrations came to a close today as we welcomed our entire school to church for Mass of S. Silas. These photos show our S. Silas Sunday Mass when Fr Harri Williams joined us as subdeacon of the Mass.

At our final service of the school year we distributed Bibles to our Year 6 pupils, thanks to the Lord Wharton Benefaction. Members of the class then lit candles in thanksgiving for all that has been and looking to the future.
