A lovely way to end the school year and the summer term at GrangeCESchool this morning St Paul's G-o-S. The Year 6 Leavers made a cairn reflecting on their time at school and their hopes for the future. Many prayers that they will know the loving presence of the Lord in all things.

Great joy this evening in the Cartmel Peninsula after a twenty two month vacancy to welcome James Bruce as the new Team Rector. +James preached a fantastically apposite sermon on John 17 and the anthem reminded us all that there is a “time for healing”. Prayers that it may be so.

We pray for Hannah and Damien upon their marriage. Giving thanks for the opportunity we've had to meet them and get to know them as they have prepared for today. May God the Holy Trinity keep them always in faith and love.

Wonderful to see all six The Church of England primary schools on the Peninsula gathering together for a day exploring the story of the Lord’s call on the life of Moses. A day of immense fruitfulness as we seek first together the Kingdom of God. Such a joy to be involved. #DeoGratias

An absolutely tremendous effort from the children and teachers GrangeCESchool with their displays for #Remembrance in St Paul's G-o-S. Here we have Nursery’s hand poppies, Reception’s work on the purple poppy, Year 1’s work on the Flanders poppy, and Year 2’s work on #WW1 medals...

...and there’s more! Here we have Year 3’s work on designing their own ‘There But Not There’ figures, Year 4/5’s display on ‘Imagine’ and praying for peace, justice & reconciliation, then finally Year 5/6’s work on the 32 men of Grange-over-Sands commemorated on the war memorial.

It’s also excellent to have been gifted some ‘There But Not There’ silhouettes for the pews inside church, and a silhouette keeping watch outside. They’ve been in place for some weeks now as a visible reminder of our need to pray for the peace that the Lord tells us to seek.

We are fortunate in St Paul's G-o-S to have a cross which once stood over the battlefield grave of a solider from Grange-over-Sands, brought back to the parish church by his parents. A poignant & vivid reminder of the sacrifice of so many. #Armistice100 #Remembrance2018 #LestWeForget

A fantastic day GrangeCESchool journeying together through the story of #HolyWeek through different prayer spaces. Excellent to see such creativity, honesty, and engagement from the children as we reflected on how Jesus’ passion, death and resurrection changes everything.

Happy #CorpusChristi - a beautiful feast on which to celebrate my final Eucharist as Assistant Curate of the Cartmel Peninsula. United together in hope, joy, love and thanksgiving for the Lord’s indescribable gift. Thanks be to God.
