Our art department are incredibly proud of their Year 7 artists who have been developing their art skills by focusing on drawing skills and colour theory. Additionally researching artists such as Bisa Butler, Claude Monet and Leonardo Da Vinci.

"Ils sont arrivés!" The staff and students on the trip to Paris have arrived! We hope they have a wonderful time on the trip.

Year 10 artists are developing images of urban structures and landscape, using mixed media surfaces. They have been researching a variety of artists like Ian Murphy and creating some great A2 pieces, really proud of their current art pieces. @SMHSch @HeadSMHSch1

Year 11 Architectural studies, inspired by Ian Murphy Ian Murphy. Sam has created a bleach image of the Colosseum after being inspired by his visit to Rome and an Ian Murphy inspired image of the London Bridge. Great work. @SMHSch @HeadSMHSch1

The sixth form team have been exploring the Pomodoro technique during study periods, helping the students to chunk & structure their private study - setting the timer & cracking on. 🍅🍅🍅

A huge thanks to the outreach team and students from Gonville & Caius College for speaking to a group of Yr12 scholars from @SMHSch about competitive courses at university. Lots to think about and plan…especially in terms of the super-curricular!
