My #PastelSketch of #Totality during yesterday's
#TotalSolarEclipse . I didn't see it in person so I used the amazing photo shared by Tom Kerss FRAS as a reference image. The #corona looks so different from when we saw the 2017 #eclipse during solar minimum!
I've just put together the collages of all the sketches that were created during my two astronomy sketching workshops at Starfest 2024 last Thursday. Some absolutely stunning work from people of all ages! Thanks so much The Binocular Sky for inviting me to do the workshops again
WOW! 𤯠What a moment! Thin cloud couldnât stop us. Hereâs my shot of the Sunâs corona during todayâs #TotalEclipse in Texas. đşđ¸ Loops and streamers galore from a highly active Sun. Show me your shots!

Drawing of #Sunspot #AR13615 , the largest and most complex white light #ActiveRegion I've ever drawn, as it looked at 11:00 UT 24th March 2024. I created it from photos taken with a #WilliamOptics 70mm refractor, Altair Herschel wedge, Celestron 3x Barlow + ASI120MC camera.

Had a wonderful evening listening to chrislintott talking about his new book, which sounds awesome. I am really looking forward to reading it :-)
Was able to see it on Sunday 24th of March. Fortunately the bright moon was at my back. Hoping it is visible naked-eye during the solar eclipse totality in Texas. Unistellar
