1/2 One of the highlights of our week in Wales was our visit to the #MachLoop on Wed 4th Sept. I can't climb hills so we hung out at the #CorrisCafe all day. It paid off & we had 3 passes by 2 #F15s! Canon 1100D Sigma 300mm zoom lens

2/2 During one of the #F15 #FighterJet passes at the #MachLoop on Wed 4th Sept, I captured colourful #Iridescence in the water vapour condensing out on the wings! This day was one of my highlights of 2024. Canon 1100D Sigma 300mm lens. #CorrisCafe #Aviation #Eagle

4 versions of #StarTrails behind #StTanwygChurch in #Llandanwg, #NorthWales. It is an early Medieval church, known as the "church in the sand". It's very dark there so I created a couple of light painted versions. Canon 1100D 10mm wide angle lens, 25secs ISO-3200 for 20 mins.

The northern part of the #MilkyWay never gets any love but last week on holiday in Wales it looked absolutely stunning - in fact I've never seen this part look so good! 5th Sept '24 #Canon110D 10-18mm lens, 25x20sec, ISO-3200 f/4.5. Stacked in #Sequator #NorthernMilkyWay

On 5th September in #Wales, I also photographed the southern #MilkyWay. #Canon1100D 10-18mm lens, ISO-3200 25sec f/4.5. This is a stack of 29x25sec. It was so dark there! #NightscapePhotography

We had an absolutely wonderful time at the Horncastle Astronomy Weekend in Lincolnshire. It was so good to see people we haven't seen in such a long time. I loved doing my talk on Saturday night & the other speakers were fab. Huge thanks to Paul & Lorraine!

Amazingly, a crystal clear sky here in Kendal, Cumbria for the partial lunar eclipse! Lovely naked eye views, and very pleased with my photos. 📷 All images below are processed crops from images taken using Canon 700D DSLR/300mm lens, various WB settings and exposures.

Poss my best #Saturn image to date due to the amazing seeing on the 16th. 4 moons are on the original image. Faint Mimas is just below the rings on right of the disk. After opposition, Saturn's shadow is appearing to the left. Some ring structure also visible #ThePhotoHour

New video alert! On 16th September I recorded a VLOG as I photographed the almost Full #PerigeeMoon rising. I talked about how we create that huge Moon effect in photos - perspective is everything! Watch the video here: youtu.be/zGRI6lP7sc0?si… #Moon #LunarPhotography
