With this Foveated Streaming release and Polyarc - Moss and Glassbreakers ❄️ giving us a UE5 VisionOS project this week... suddenly looking at a much better paradigm. ᯅ

New in visionOS 26.4: Vision Pro now supports NVIDIA CloudXR with foveated streaming. This lets high resolution immersive content stream from powerful NVIDIA GPUs with low latency by rendering detail only where you’re looking. If you know, you know. This is really great news.

Maybe I'm wrong and it's Apple... and Valve Revisiting this thought now that we have eye tracked foveated streaming on Apple Vision Pro... A paradigm seems to be coming into view.

If you're impressed that we can make AI images with data center fortresses consuming city-levels of power... ...remember that your brain can do all of that locally, with full privacy & with only 12-20W. That is what elegant design looks like. Humans are impressive as all hell.

Say what you want, Apple Vision Pro keeps steadily improving with every update. visionOS is here to stay and is already a beacon for the XR space. I’m looking forward to the day the early skeptics say they believed in it all along.

Would eye tracked foveated streaming allow Steam Frame or Apple Vision Pro remote connections since bandwidth might be lower?

Wow so nice to get rid of the swyft prompt on my Vision Pro builds and get fixed foveated. You can see it in the video at the edges of the video easily on the spheres and cubes. Huge shout out to Polyarc - Moss and Glassbreakers ❄️ really appreciated. Can't wait to incorporate the fixes. 🙏
