Busy day today starting with an early Cherrywood canvass with Cllr. Lesley Byrne and Gary Gannon TD, morning coffee catch up with my old pals in AmalWomenAssociation at the Dublin Mosque, party manifesto launch in Merrion Park. Great to be back on home turf this week. Amenities and services for children & adolescents & flood relief for the town were the most prominent issues. Thanks Damian for the trojan support. Cork Social Democrats SocDemsEastCork
Why is it more important now than ever to send Social Democratic voices to Europe? Currently on a panel at AEJ Ireland’s debate for MEP candidates.

Disgracefully, our amazing Ireland South candidate Susan Doyle was excluded from RTE’s televised debate. As a solicitor who works in the area of human rights, Susan has the knowledge, experience and empathy that would make a huge difference in Europe. #VoteSocDems
A pleasure to welcome Susan Doyle to Midleton today. We met residents and business owners in the @midletonfarmersmarket & in town. We need a strong, compassionate voice in Europe on disability rights, migration & housing. Susan is the person for the job.
A smaller group out with Midleton Tidy Towns this morning. A few teeming bins to contend with but much of town was in very good condition. We hope to have more of a focus on biodiversity initiatives & place-making in the coming months. New volunteers are v welcome.
At a time when the suffering of others is being denied or stoked for political gain we need people elected to all levels of gov't who strongly uphold our international solidarity with people experiencing oppression or danger. Kindred Spirits monument, Midleton with Susan Doyle
The Social Democrats are very much willing & prepared to enter gov't. We will do so if negotiations allow us to fulfill our mandate for change across key areas. corkindependent.com/2024/12/05/dem
