As an alum of the University of Minnesota & Columbia, I've witnessed a masterclass in contrasting leadership styles on how each handled student protests.

While Columbia resorted to heavy-handed tactics, the U, under Interim President Ettinger, took a surprisingly measured path.

This is how it’s done. Glad to see the U of M take this step and hope other presidents follow their leadership.

A militarized response is never the answer to peaceful protests.

1) This is whataboutism at its best.
2) It's so dangerous for Israel to conflate itself, and its war crimes, with all Jews.
3) Jewish faculty & students are disproportionately represented in these protests so the antisemitism smear doesn't work like it used to

But she didn’t say it on a college campus or near a Palestinian flag or using an Arabic word, so it’s all good. 🤷🏽‍♂️
