Has anyone been able to access the ticket office closure consultation in a different format? I’ve heard one TOC only made it available today and one said they don’t have braille but they can get someone to read it out ???

It might only be 12% of tkt sales at t/o but people collect tkts there 'cause they:

Can't use/find TVM/it doesn't work
Don't know which ref. to use/don't have one
Don't have a card/didn't pay for it/don't want to pay again
Don't know what they bought
Have questions
Want refunds

Fares, t/table enquiries, disruption, works, cleaning, local directions, a safe place for the vulnerable, assistance for passengers (inc. w/chair users sent to no access stns by pass. assist), sometimes maintenance of the stn and reporting faults (inc. the TVM). The list goes on.

Some only take card, or barely work. For some ToD is sketchy at best. Some can't be used on sunny days, are uncovered on rainy days, and in the winter some can literally freeze. Tkts can stick together, or get stuck in the collection chute. They can glitch during payment, etc.

Being fair, priv does have a website, but it is sh... and they'll do away with RVs. Refunds for TVM tkts will be by RM.

Some tkts are still only at t/o, and many TVMs don't take cash. T/o can do many x/s fares in mins w/out charging for a new tkt first.

TOCs have consistently undermined t/o with online only offers, removing fares from t/o, and marketing that deliberately fails to mention t/o.

W/site offers include selling £30 journeys for 50p. Then they say revenue is down with full trains. It is no surprise t/o sales are down.
