Too many brilliant sessions to mention all - take home message - still lots to do to optimise therapy for pwCF on modulators & a huge amount to do to improve access globally #ECFS2023 UK CFPG

Today, NICE have given approval for the life-changing #cysticfibrosis modulator drugs to be made available on the NHS in England. This follows many years of campaigning by Cystic Fibrosis Trust and people right across the CF community. ow.ly/XGMs50SmgJR

This is a nice clinically relevant study- we often debate penetration of antibiotics into the pleural space and how this influences the outcome of complicated parapneumonic effusion/empyema. This study suggests its a non-issue for commonly used antibiotics thorax.bmj.com/content/early/…

Pharmacists are the most underappreciated and underutilised specialists in UK hospitals They are experts in drugs - they are not just there to hand out discharge meds and to correct doctors errors (which they frequently also do!) Use your pharmacists' skills!
