When surveying the landscape for potential #Leadership pay close attention to those Making Excuses and those Taking Responsibility

There's generally a big difference in their ability to Lead

In #Leadership the goal is NOT to get YOUR team to be perfect (can't do it), but to inspire them to achieve to the BEST of THEIR ability

Selfishness and Self Obsession NEVER leads to Self Satisfaction or Self Fulfillment

In Life there are Givers and Takers

Opinions are NEVER changed through berating, name calling or threatening

But they do drive the opposition to disdain you even worse than previously

Fools choose to divide while the Wise seek to listen, understand and share the #TRUTH

I may have 'ridden off' a year ago but THIS remains #True

The Men & Women who wear a Badge, Star or Shield & go to work EVERYDAY protecting our Community AND our Constitution are HEROES

Leading implies action and Impactful #Leaders are always evaluating, improving, coaching & moving it FORWARD

1 of the most Caring & Loving things to do for someone is to share the #Truth with them in compassion & with empathy

If you're in #Leadership and Leading with #Integrity you can focus more energy on the future and less time looking over your shoulder or concerned about the past

After a 43 year career in Law Enforcement what do I most miss

Easy

Being in the company of the Men & Women who truly make a positive difference in our World

What I enjoy NOW is spending time with them discussing Leadership, Ethics & Integrity

Repurposed NOT Retired

I was 1 of thousands rooting for Delaware Hayes Basketball Adam Vincenzo Rob Price & while a 1 point loss may be heartbreaking what they did and WHO they are was encouraging & inspiring

I've been in this community for nearly 5 decades and we'll remember this run for at least that long 🏀

One of the WORST perspectives to operate from is Presumption

We don't know what others are thinking or who they really are if we simply PRESUME

Presumption leads to judgment & bias & often prevents us from truly getting to know someone that could enrich our lives or theirs

There are lessons learned in Nature and in the handiwork of God that can't be taught elsewhere
