As part of National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week, the Patrol has been recognizing the dispatchers who are essential to daily operations. To close out the week, we are featuring Amy De La Pena, Bowling Green Post, our 2023 Dispatcher of the Year.

The Patrol is participating in the Ohio Department of Public Safety local #TakeBackDay . This is a free event for community members to properly dispose of old and unneeded medications safely and anonymously. Proper disposal of unneeded drugs saves lives.

Yesterday, Trooper Danesi from the Ohio State Highway Patrol Chardon Post participated in a #DriveToLive event along with our safety service partners for students at Berkshire High School. He spoke with students about #SafeDriving habits and making responsible decisions behind the wheel.

Recently, a trooper from the Ohio State Highway Patrol Cleveland Post cited this juvenile motorist for going 100 mph in a posted 60 mph zone on I-480 in Cuyahoga County. So far this year, there have been 7,482 speed-related crashes on Ohio's roadways. #SlowDown
