I support teachers. I want good teachers who care about kids and I want them paid well. I want everyone to be safe. But y’all are the adults. If you can’t safely do your jobs, you need to advocate, or strike. Stop acting powerless when you’re in the power position & blaming kids.

Reminders.
1- children with type 1 diabetes become adults with type 1. It doesn’t magically flip to type 2 after age 21.
2- people with type 2 can be fit and trim.
3- there are more than 2 types of diabetes.
4- all types of diabetes suck.
5- diabetes is not your punchline.

Maybe take the electives in school from the start?
Maybe on PD days or conferences you choose things around our kids?
Stop tossing all advocacy onto parents when you know you have more power you just don’t want to ruffle feathers.

I truly wish to know what Darrel Robertson EPSB did since the SRO’s were taken out to trial or test other ways of supporting students and keeping them safe.
