These old Cottonwood trees along the Florida River were snuggly enveloped in a rare fog one morning. I don't often dabble in black and white images, but it seems to suite this one well. Which do you favor?

“Attenuated Hues” Although not complicated, this image is a fave of mine. While some Cottonwood trees become completely bare, others retain a large number of leaves. The fog here dampens the contrast between the orange leaves and the dark limbs to attenuate the color just right.

“With a foggy mind, you see nothing but fog!” ~ Mehmet Murat Ildan Yet, there is so much beauty and awe within the fog. We don't see fog very often here in southwestern Colorado. It usually accompanies the first frost or first snow in November, which makes it such a treat.
