Good news: negotiated prices on 10 Medicare prescription drugs will save seniors $1.5 billion in out-of-pocket costs and taxpayers $6 billion annually beginning in 2026. I will keep working to take on Big Pharma and lower prescription drug costs for Granite Staters and Americans.

I helped pass the Inflation Reduction Act to bring down costs. Today, 2 years after it was signed into law, it is lowering insulin costs, energy costs, and more — and its impact will continue to grow in the years to come.

Today we recognize National Fentanyl Prevention and Awareness Day. It is crucial that we all work together to educate our friends, family, and community, and that we continue to combat the fentanyl crisis that has devastated our state.

Americans like Caren are being charged “facility fees” -- fees charged by hospital systems that own a doctor’s office – despite having no change in their care or provider. I introduced a bipartisan bill to stop these unfair fees, lower costs for patients & save taxpayer dollars.

Good news: NH is receiving federal funding to help fire fighters & fire departments across the state with equipment & training. Our courageous fire fighters work to protect Granite Staters every day & I will keep working to ensure they have the resources they need to save lives.

It’s great to see the bipartisan infrastructure law delivering for NH with $210,000 in federal funding on the way to improve clean water in our schools and child care centers. Every child in New Hampshire deserves safe drinking water at home and at school.

It was an honor to stand alongside POW/MIA family members and Granite Staters yesterday in Portsmouth at a vigil to keep alive the memory and pay tribute to the extraordinary sacrifices of our servicemembers who were taken prisoner or who went missing in action.

As we mark International Overdose Awareness Day today, we all have a role to play in making sure that Granite Staters are informed about the dangers of fentanyl to prevent overdoses & reduce the stigma of seeking addiction treatment.

I'm both heartbroken and outraged that Hamas murdered Hersh Goldberg-Polin and five other hostages. I am thinking of the Goldberg-Polin family and of all the families who have lived in agony for 11 months now. We need a deal to get the remaining hostages home immediately.

Today I met with Granite Staters who have had to pay unfair “facility fees” – which a hospital can charge for routine care after it buys a local doctor’s office. I've introduced bipartisan legislation to stop these fees and will keep working to lower health care costs.

Kids should be excited to start a new school year -- not grieving for their friends and afraid to go to school. I am devastated that we are once again mourning after a school shooting. We must do better for our children and keep them safe from gun violence.
