Alabama’s economic future depends on a strong and skilled workforce. Recently, the Alabama Community College System (ACCS) announced a new expansion to their healthcare training program. This new opportunity will be critical to positioning Alabama as a workforce leader in healthcare. Great work!

To maintain Alabama’s success in economic growth, we need the best and most highly skilled workers in America, and we need more of them tomorrow than we have today. Recently, I enjoyed speaking at the Alabama Labor Management Conference to discuss all the things workforce!

The economic news this month continues to be positive and is keeping our momentum going. Alabamians are joining the workforce in record numbers, especially our prime-age workers. There is a lot of work yet to be done, but ADOW is ready for the task!

The future of Alabama’s economy will be dependent on our workforce development success. It was great being at the Electric Cities of Alabama Annual Meeting this week to speak about Alabama’s workforce goals!
