Yesterday was a great day in Tuscaloosa at the West Alabama Chamber legislative luncheon. It was a privilege to update community members in our area on what is going on in the legislative session along with visit with other members of the Tuscaloosa delegation.

Today was a great day in Jasper. Our community was able to celebrate the Marching Band, Women’s Basketball, Wrestling, and Cheerleading teams from Jasper High School on their state championships this year. Congrats to these dedicated teams and the faculty, staff, and coaches!

Maximizing Alabama’s labor participation rate is important for our state’s economy. Fiscally responsible efforts that provide an incentive for Alabama families to positively reengage in our workforce is a good thing. Alabama is the best place to live, work, and raise a family!

Law enforcement officers are heroes that protect and serve our communities with bravery and courage each day. When we are at our worst, they are at their best, and I was privileged to help honor heroes at the Legislative Medal of Honor ceremony in the statehouse this morning.

The investments we make today will ensure future successes for Alabama. I am proud of the bipartisan work we are doing in the Working for Alabama package to meet the economic and workforce development needs of our state.

We have completed twenty days of the 2024 legislative session. It was another great week with monumental legislation passed for Alabamians. We are approaching the finish line, and we plan to finish strong!

Our teachers work hard to educate our kids while working with parents to ensure their children’s long term successes. I am proud Governor Kay Ivey signed my Parents’ Right to Know Bill that keeps our families engaged and informed about what is going on in their child’s classroom.

Alabama is home to some of God’s most beautiful creations, and our natural wonders are such a resource to our state. I am thankful for the efforts to keep Alabama beautiful!

Today, the Alabama Senate passed the Alabama Growth Alliance Bill. I was proud to sponsor this important piece of legislation that will positively impact the future of Alabama by continually accessing the economic and workforce development needs of our state.
