Yesterday, the Senate approved legislation to improve accessibility and strengthen enforcement measures relating to parking spaces, curb ramps and access aisles for persons with disabilities. I have supported and advocated for this bill, and I applaud my colleagues supporting it!

Yesterday, I attended a press conference w/ Humane PA to voice my support and advocate for SB1154 and HB1216; 2 animal welfare bills that allow for greater care and treatment of pets. Its time to pass these important bills!

I am disappointed that SB261 was not called for a vote today. I strongly believe that this bill must contain a civil window to allow long struggling victims access to justice.

This week, I voted in favor of delaying and changing the Key Stone Exams for graduating high school seniors. This legislation will further delay this exam until 2022 & will also allow students to complete alternative measures for the purpose of high school graduation requirement

So very sad to hear of the horrific shooting at the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh today. Thinking and praying for the victims, their families and the first responders who were affected by this senseless, hate-filled tragedy.
