And another totally unnecessary baby death following a violation of his basic human right to be protected rather than ‘operated on’ by amateurs solely to satisfy parental beliefs or culture. It is way past time for this to end- in Italy, in the UK, everywhere #i2

Both GMC & The BMA claim to have no policy re: cutting boys’ normal genitals when religious parents call for it. Truth is, it is only by asserting this, that they actively exclude boys from child safeguarding and ethical norms that would otherwise apply.

No child should be subjected to the forced surgical removal of any part of their genitalia for non-medical reasons. Why is this such a difficult proposition? secularism.org.uk/religious-surg…

Just spoke to @Matthew_Wright on LBC about the TV debate last night. Polling consistently shows The Green Party policies are most liked of all - people just don't hear from us enough. Amazing to see the response when a diversity of voices was actually given chance to debate!

This really really is the chance to #VoteGreen to get Green. We have common sense, well costed policies to help people and planet.

We’re quoted in Sunday The Telegraph on two Islamic charities which hosted misogynistic messages. It’s outrageous that a charity has promoted the idea that it’s ok to hit a woman who refuses sex. Dominic Penna

My National Secular Society blog discusses the absurd anomaly of ritual child circumcision. secularism.org.uk/opinion/2025/0… Two convicted men this year is a positive small step towards protecting children from unjustifiable, unrestrained religious privilege.
