Tremendous credit to Billy Lee, his selectors and his team for a wonderful performance today against Tipperary. A McGrath cup, a National League, promotion and a kick of a ball from a Munster Final but nothing other than a win today would have satisfied Billy.

Great league campaign by Limerick footballers in gaining promotion to division 2. They lost nothing yesterday in a very gallant effort in Croke Park. Tremendous credit is due to all the panel and in particular to Billy Lee and his management team for their outstanding service.

It is with deep regret and sadness we hear of the sad news of the death of Tony Lyons our esteemed friend and colleague at Mary Immaculate College. He endured a long illness with patience. Níl sé imithe uainn ach imithe romhainn.

1 Sept 1980 - 1 Sept 2024. The beginning & ending dates matter little but how the dash between these dates were spent. Wonderful colleagues and brilliant students without exception gave me 44 golden years in MIC. A huge thanks to all the teachers who helped create Bua na Cainte.
